Through the cooperation of our many parish organizations, 2009's picnic was a huge success! Thanks goes to the Athletic Association for taking leadership this year, which passes to the Knights of Columbus for 2010.

Committees include:

Women's Guild: publicity

Welcoming: name tags

Boy Scouts: table and chair set-up

Family Life: table coverings and decorations

Knights of Columbus: cooking the brats and hot dogs

Funeral Buffet: coordinate the serving of the food and kitchen clean-up.

Home and School Ass'n: games and activities for preschoolers though 4th graders

Athletic Ass'n: games and activities for 5th grade through adults

Finance Council: 50-50 Raffle

Pastoral Council: parking

Youth Ministry: field clean-up


Picnic day begins with 11:00 Mass in church, followed by a group photograph taken in the church drive. Families are asked to bring a dish to pass, according to the alphabet, and hot dogs, brats and lemonade are provided for the 12:30 lunch in the Parish Center. The 50-50 Raffle drawing takes place just before kids of all ages (pre-school through adult) head to the field for games and activities. The afternoon wraps up about 3:30 p.m.

Please note:

  • Special parking places are set aside for people needing a shorter walk into the Parish Center.
  • Feel free to wear "picnic" attire to Mass.
